Passionscape (2005) contains compositions written and performed during Neil Currie’s composer residency with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra from 1998-2001. The works are 1. Symphony; 2. Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra (Tumbling Strain), soloist Alain Trudel; 3. Rhapsody for Saxophone and Orchestra, soloist Allen Harrington; 4. Glenside. The disc was funded principally by the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the Canada Council. “Rhapsody” (the third movement of Symphony) was nominated for Outstanding Classical Composition at the 2006 Western Canada Music Awards.
