Docteure en composition, pianiste et chef de chœur, Vania Angelova a obtenu son doctorat en composition musicale à l’Université de Montréal. Elle détient une Maîtrise en interprétation - pianiste de concert, professeur de piano, de Concert Master Class avec la célèbre professeure Regina Horowitz, la sœur du grand pianiste russe Vladimir Horowitz. Angelova a également complété ainsi de l’ex-URSS une Maîtrise en composition musicale avec prof. Igor Kovach, et en direction d’orchestre et de chorale avec prof. Alekseev.

Vania Angelova a reçu du Ministère de la Culture de la Bulgarie une Médaille et un Certificat d’honneur pour son apport considérable dans le développement de la culture bulgare et son rayonnement en Europe et au Canada, 2006.

Madame Angelova est gagnante de plusieurs concours nationaux et internationaux, en plus d’être membre honoraire du jury du Festival International des chorales et du Festival International « Musique et Cinéma » en Europe. (Le 1 prix pour la musique du film « La musique et l’écologie de nos âmes », 1999, etc.).

Elle a participé à plusieurs festivals, concerts et compétitions en tant que chef des chorales, compositrice, ou pianiste en Hollande, Autriche, Italie, Allemagne, Ukraine, Russie, Serbie, Bulgarie, au Canada et à plusieurs concerts pour la radio et la télévision en Europe. Vania Angelova a enregistré plusieurs vidéos de ses compositions en Europe.

Madame Angelova donne des classes de maître de composition, du piano et de chant en Europe.

Elle est la fondatrice et la directrice artistique du «Choeur du CMC Québec–Vania Angelova». Ce Choeur a été fondé par Dr.Vania Angelova et le CMC Québec en 2013.

Elle a composé la musique de sept films.

Vania Angelova a composé la musique pour orchestre de chambre et symphonique. Elle a également composé deux Oratorio, un Poème symphonique pour orchestre, Suite de Danses païennes pour l’orchestre symphonique et l’orchestre de chambre, Suites pour l’orchestre symphonique et l’orchestre de chambre, les œuvres de musique spirituelle chrétienne ancienne et moderne pour chorales mixtes et chorales d’enfants (a capella et avec orchestre), et etc.

Les œuvres de la compositrice ont été interprétées par National Academy Orchestra of Canada, l’Orchestre Symphonique d’Ukraine, la Chapelle Nationale de Bulgarie et par plusieurs orchestres de chambres et chorales en Europe. Au Québec, Canada, c’est l’Orchestre symphonique de l’Université de Montréal, le Chœur de l’Université de Montréal, l’Orchestre de chambre « IMUSICI de Montréal », «Trio-con Brio», « Quatuor de Vania Angelova », l’Orchestre de chambre «Sinfonia Toronto», le Chœur « Angel voices », le «Choeur du CMC Québec–Vania Angelova», McGill Orchestre de chambre, Ensemble Arkea, le Choeur « Cosmic Voices », l'Orchestre de chambre « Sofia Soloists », etc.

Angelova est la directrice de programmes musicaux, auteure principale et animatrice pour la chaîne RTVC – la première chaîne télévisée russe au Canada.

La musique spirituelle de la compositrice Dr.Vania Angelova a été choisie pour orner les funérailles de la grande voyante bulgare Vanga au téléfilm de la télévision nationale bulgare (TV Centre Blagoevgrad, Bulgarie).

Elle est la fondatrice des cours des « Chants du Moyen Âge et de la Renaissance », des « Chants du Monde », de « Gospel » - SAE, Université de Montréal.

Plusieurs concerts bénévoles furent donnés afin d’amasser des fonds pour le Fondations dédiées à la recherche des enfants disparus en Bulgarie et au Canada, pour l’ouverture de l’Église Bulgare à Montréal et pour les traitements médicaux aux enfants affectés par le cancer au Canada et en Europe. Aussi, plusieurs concerts gratuits ont été donnés dans des maisons de personnes âgées, des orphelinats et organismes humanitaires pour les personnes handicapées en Europe et au Canada.

Pianist, composer, conductor, Doctor in composition, Vania Angelova obtained a Doctorate in Composition at the University of Montreal. She also graduated with a master’s degree in piano with the renowned professor Regina Horowitz, sister of the great Russian pianist Vladimir Horowitz. Vania has as well a master’s in Composition with prof. Igor Kovach, and also in Choir and Symphonic Conducting with prof. Alekseev, in ex-USSR.

Vania Angelova was rewarded with a Medal and an Honorary Certificate from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria for her contribution to the development of the Bulgarian and European cultures and their propagation in Europe and Canada, 2006.

In 2003 she was rewarded with a Honorary prize from the music faculty of the University of Montreal.

She is an honorary member of the jury of the International Festivals of choirs and of the International Festival “Music and Cinema” in Europe, professor of composition, piano and singing in internationals master classes, winner of national and international competitions in Europe (1 prize for the music of the movie “Music and ecology of our souls”, 1999), etc.

As a pianist and a composer: Concerts in Holland, Austria, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria and Canada; Radio and TV concerts; many records and video clips of her compositions.

She is the Founder and Artistic Director of the “CMC Quebec Choir–Vania Angelova,” Montreal. Dr. Vania Angelova and the CMC Québec founded the CMC Choir in 2013.

Dr. Angelova’s composition repertoire includes: Music for Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras, Chamber music for solo instruments, 2 Oratorios, a Symphonic Poem, Suites for Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras, Suite of Pagan Dances for Symphonic and for Chamber Orchestras, works of ancient and modern Christian music for mixed and children’s Choirs (a capella and with orchestra), etc.
She has composed music for seven movies.

Angelova’s composition “Pagan Dance on burning coals”, interpreted by “I Musici de Montréal,” conductor Yuli Turovsky, was chosen and noted among others as one of the best of the year, 2008, CBC Radio Canada.

Angelova is the director of musical programming, author, and animator for RTVC – the first Russian television channel in Canada. She presents Russian medias in many international competitions and events.

Dr. Vania Angelova’s spiritual music was used to honor the funeral of the well known great Bulgarian fortune teller Vanga during the telefilm of the National TV Bulgaria (Centre Blagoevgrad).

She is the Founder of the following courses in Choir: “Music of the Medieval and the Renaissance Singing”, “Music of the World”, “Gospel”- SAC- University of Montreal.

She gives plenty of volunteer concerts to collect funds for the Foundations for the research of missing children in Bulgaria and Canada, for the opening of the Bulgarian Church in Montreal, for medical treatments to children affected by cancer, as well as charity concerts in homes of the elderly, in orphanages and humanitarian organizations for handicapped people in Europe and Canada.
