Michel Longtin Colère : Berlin 61, 1989 Commissioned by: Premiered by: “Colère : Berlin 61, written in 1989, is a work for percussion. It was inspired by an important event: the construction of the Berlin wall during the night of August 12-13, 1961. The piece is based on the stories of three young Germans, whom Longtin met in 1964 when they were beginning new lives.
