"we burst through the birch, turn our heads northwith dawn in our lungs we reachthe border"This piece uses a short quotation from Richard Dawson’s work “Prostitute,” newly outfitted in a 15-edo (equal division of the octave by 15) temperament. Dawson's avant-folk inflections, including a frequently-used extreme falsetto and an overarching tenderness, shape the character and form of the work.
