This piece was commissioned as a World War I Memorial piece by the National Arts Centre Orchestra, The World Remembers, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. It uses excerpts from five poems by World War I soldier poets: John McCrae (Canada), Wilfred Owen (England), Luc Durtain (France), Gerrit Engelke (Germany), and Louis Aragon (France). There are different language options: -multilingual version in original languages: English, French, and German. -bilingual in French and English -English -French Different versions available: SATB (with divided parts) SSAS with piano accompaniment (currently available) Orchestra (available August 2014) Chamber orchestra (available September 2014) A capella version available upon request Also, the piece can be simplified with a marked cut. This makes the piece simpler and approximately 1 minute shorter, at 5 minutes
