« Plugged 1.3 » is the third in a cycle of pieces for solo-amplified instruments with which I explore the “hidden resonances”, resonances one can only hear within a close range of the instrument. With « Plugged 1.3 », I would like for you to be under the impression that your listening from the inside of the instruments; I want for you to be able to hear the slight sounds of the wind, the harmonics, the mechanism of the instrument... The work is dedicated to Peter Stoll who premiered it on March 27, 2003 during the « Inundation » concert presented by Continuum at the Music Gallery, in Toronto.

« Plugged 1. 3 » est la troisième d’un cycle de pièces pour instruments solos amplifiés avec lequel j’explore les « sonorités cachées », les sonorités qu’on peut entendre que si l’on se trouve à proximité de l’instrument. Avec « Plugged 1.3 », je veux que vous ayez l’impression d’avoir la tête à l’intérieur de l’instrument ; je veux que vous puissiez entendre les moindres bruits du vent, les harmoniques, le mécanisme de l’instrument... L’œuvre est dédiée à Peter Stoll, qui l’a créée le 27 mars 2003 dans le cadre du concert Inundation, présenté par l’ensemble Continuum à la Music Gallery, à Toronto.
