Imant Raminsh Earth Chants ~ Along the Flower Trail, 1982 Commissioned by: Vancouver Bach Choir Along the Flower Trail is a set of 7 songs for unaccompanied SSAATTBB chorus. Texts are sung in English, but have been inspired by traditional songs of the Inuit, Chippewa, Sioux, Nahuatl, Winnegago, Tewa, and Winto cultures. The 7 songs are titled: ‘The lands around my dwelling’ (Inuit), ‘As my eyes search’ (Chippewa), ‘War Song’ (Sioux), ‘Love Song’ (Nahuatl), ‘Pleasant it looked’ (Winnegago), ‘Upward going’ (Tewa), and ‘Two dream songs’ (Winto).
