The Walking Poems were written by B.C. poet and novelist, Sheila Peters, who loves to hike in the mountains near her Smithers home. Her prose-like style creates constant changing rhythms and meters throughout the piece. While the descriptions of what she sees around her come out in both short rhythmic fragments, or longer melodic lines. This piece could be sung either by a choir, or four solo voices.
