Regarding "Late night in Central Park", the composer writes, " I believe the title says it all and I prefer to leave programmatic references to the imagination of the listener. The work is in simple A-B-A form. The A section consists of dark textures giving way to a lyrical melody (at first presented by the English Horn) while the B section is a jazzy passacaglia, (a repeated bass line underneath changing harmonies and melodies)."
